Qn. What is Cosmetology?
An. Salon Fundamental Text Book defines Cosmetology as, "the art and scince of beauty care"
When you study cosmetology you will be able to work and take care of the hair, skin and nails for both sexes.
Qn. How long does a cosmetology course takes?
An. It takes one year divided into three terms i.e Unit 1: Essentials, Unit 2: Hair services, and Unit 3: Nail and skin services.
Qn. Is there Job quarantee after completion of the course?
An. Many professional salons and related fields like Cosmetics distributors, shops and hotels are in great need for the professional cosmetologists and they have requested the school to provide them with good workers. So there are jobs.
Qn. Do you study the whole day?
An. We have classes that begin form 8.30AM to 4.30PM, short courses for 2hrs a day depending with the time that one is available and evening classes for those who cannot be available during the day beginning form 5.00PM.
Qn. Do you offer accommodation?
An. Accommodation can be easily arranged for those who come from upcountry or foreigners. We have liaised with the nearby hostels for both sexes. Note accommodation is separate from the school payments.
Qn. Is cosmetology for both men and women?
An. Yes it is applicable to both sexes provided one meets the school requirements for enrolment and admission.
Qn. Do you do exams and graduate?
An. Yes we have exams for both Theory and practicals of which one has to pass before you graduate.
Qn. Is your school recognized internationally?
An. Yes we offer Salon Fundamentals curriculum that is from Pivot Point international, Inc.2000.
Qn. Do you do admission anytime of the year?
An. No, we have definite intakes according to our year planner. We do enrolment three times a year .i.e December and January, April and may and then August and September. Note, this is with exception of the short courses that we can admit someone anytime of the year.
Qn. What is Esthetics and do you offer it?
An. According to the Salon Fundamentals Esthetics text book, it says "An esthetician is someone skilled in the art of performing services that enhance or beautify the skin"
a) This course takes one year and it is advisable to do it after the completion of the Cosmetology course. It specifically deals with the skin and its care hence the skin care industry.
b)Yes, we do offer Esthetics course too.
